About CENTURY ALUMINUM CO

Century Aluminum Company is a leading producer of primary aluminum, specializing in standard-grade and value-added products such as ingots, billets, sows, and high-purity aluminum. The company operates smelter facilities in the United States, including Hawesville, Kentucky, and Mount Holly, South Carolina, as well as Grundartangi in Iceland, enabling energy-efficient production with access to renewable energy sources. It also manages a carbon anode production facility in the Netherlands to support its smelting operations. Century Aluminum supplies low-carbon, high-purity aluminum to diverse sectors including automotive, packaging, consumer electronics, building and construction, industrial equipment, electrical, defense, aerospace, and machinery. A key customer is Glencore, which purchases nearly all of its North American production, while the company sources most of its alumina from the same partner. Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Century Aluminum plays a vital role in the global aluminum supply chain, emphasizing operational excellence and sustainability.
