Editorial

Editorial Policy

How we produce coverage at AlphaScala. This page describes our sourcing, fact-checking, AI usage, and independence standards. Last updated April 2026.

Content Production by Type

AlphaScala produces different types of content through different workflows. We disclose which is which on every page so readers know exactly what they are reading.

Daily markets coverage (/markets articles)

AI-drafted from verified primary sources (exchange price feeds, SEC filings, named news wires via MarketAux), then constrained by strict prompts that ban invented numbers, fabricated quotes, and speculation not grounded in source material. The same workflow Reuters, Bloomberg, and AP use on scale reporting. Editorial standards are set by our Editor-in-Chief (P.R.); high-stakes pieces (earnings calls, major regulatory events) receive additional human review before publication.

Trading guides and long-form blog (/blog)

Written directly by the AlphaScala editorial team. Not AI-drafted. Reviewed against our editorial standards before publication.

Trading Q&A and asset FAQs (/answers, /markets/profile)

AI-assisted drafts on common evergreen trading questions, then human-reviewed against our editorial standards before publication. Updated when the underlying market structure changes.

Broker reviews (/brokers)

Compiled from regulatory filings, broker-published documentation, and our editorial criteria (regulation, spreads, platforms, fees). Affiliate disclosure on every review. Editorial rating is independent of commercial relationships.

Alpha Score rankings (/alpha-score, /stocks)

Algorithmic, computed daily from fundamentals (TwelveData), price action, and sentiment aggregates. The full methodology is published openly at /alpha-score so anyone can audit how a score was produced.

Across all content types: every factual claim traces to a named source, every page links to this policy, and corrections are handled per our corrections workflow.

Sourcing Standards

Every factual claim on AlphaScala traces to one of:

  • Named primary source (SEC filing, exchange price feed, company press release, government data release)
  • Named news wire (Reuters, Bloomberg, AP, FT) via the MarketAux aggregator
  • Our own published Alpha Score model outputs, with the methodology publicly documented at /alpha-score
  • Our own public trading records, tracked on TipRanks for independent verification

We do not use anonymous single sources, we do not paraphrase uncredited content, and we do not publish unverified rumors. If a story is developing and we have partial information, we label it as developing.

Independence

AlphaScala generates revenue from broker affiliate relationships and sponsored placements. These relationships do not affect editorial coverage:

  • Broker ratings and reviews are ranked by objective criteria (regulation, spreads, platforms). Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every broker review.
  • Sponsored content is labeled as "Sponsored" or "Featured" and visually distinguished from editorial coverage.
  • Market analysis, Alpha Score rankings, and trading Q&A content are produced without input from advertisers or affiliate partners.
  • Our Editor-in-Chief has final say on editorial matters. Commercial input is excluded from the editorial workflow.
What We Do Not Do
  • We do not publish investment advice. Everything on AlphaScala is educational.
  • We do not guarantee returns, predict specific price moves as certain, or recommend specific trades.
  • We do not trade against our own published positions. Our Editor-in-Chief's TipRanks portfolios are fully visible for verification.
  • We do not accept payment to publish favorable coverage of individual tickers, brokers, or products.
  • We do not publish unverified single-source claims without labeling them as such.
Corrections and Feedback

Errors happen. When they do, we correct them transparently. See our corrections page for our formal workflow. To report an error or request a correction, email corrections@alphascala.com.
