AlphaScala Daily: ECB decision, gold slides, NKE cluster buy
Thursday, July 23, 2026
Good morning.
Gold is off 1.3% to 4,076 and bitcoin dropped back through 65,415, so the risk-off tint is real ahead of two catalysts: US jobless claims at 8:30 and the ECB's main refinancing rate decision out of the Eurozone. On the tape, Nike drew four insider buys worth a net $2.17M over 30 days, the loudest cluster of the morning, while T. Rowe Price tops the model at 80. Kinross Gold sits second at 79, which reads a little differently on a day gold is selling off. And Rep. James Himes unloaded Bank of America, Exxon, and Home Depot. Here's what matters.
