AlphaScala Daily: Crypto slides, MiCA deadline lands July 1

Tuesday, June 30, 2026

Good morning.

Crypto is taking it on the chin again, with ETH off 2.5% to $1,572 and BTC down 2.1% near $58,900, the morning before the MiCA licensing deadline that still finds most EU crypto firms unlicensed. The signal tape leans defensive: gold names anchor the model, with KGC at a 79 Alpha Score behind MU at 81, while four NKE insiders put up a $2.17M net buy over 90 days. Eurozone flash CPI and Canada GDP are the timing risk to clear before lunch. Rep. Matthew Van Epps, meanwhile, sold across GOOGL, AMZN, and AAPL. Here's what matters.
