AlphaScala Daily: CPI at 8:30, gold drops 2.9% overnight
Wednesday, June 10, 2026
Good morning.
Gold fell 2.9% to $4,136 overnight, the loudest move on a tape where bitcoin and ether both slipped under 1%. All eyes go to 8:30 a.m. ET, when US CPI and core CPI land and decide the next leg for rates and the dollar. Our model has Kinross Gold (KGC) near the top at 79/100, awkward timing given the bullion selloff, with Grupo Cibest (CIB) leading at 81 and Eli Lilly close behind. The signal tape shows a four-insider cluster buy at Nike worth $2.17M and ten buyers at TSM. Here's what matters.
