Net income for the three months ended June surged 23.4% from the prior quarter. Revenue rose 36% to NT$1.27 trillion, up from NT$933.79 billion a year earlier. Advanced technologies – 7-nanometer and below – accounted for 77% of total wafer revenue, the company said.
TSMC has benefited from strong demand for AI chips it manufactures for clients including Nvidia and Apple. Shares have gained over 58% this year and rose 1.23% on Thursday.
