Saudi Arabia Opens One-Year Multi-Entry Umrah Visa

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah launched a multiple-entry Umrah visa on Sunday, allowing holders to enter the kingdom multiple times over a 365-day period. The visa permits a cumulative stay of 90 days.

The move simplifies access for pilgrims who previously needed a new visa for each visit. The ministry said the change aims to ease travel for repeat Umrah performers and reduce administrative steps for both travelers and tour operators.

The visa is available through approved travel agents and digital platforms linked to the ministry's systems. No specific date was given for when the application portal opened.

Saudi Arabia has been expanding its tourism and religious travel infrastructure as part of its Vision 2030 economic diversification plan. The kingdom hosted roughly 10 million Umrah visitors in 2023 and aims to reach 30 million annually by the end of the decade. The new visa category supports that target by removing the per-trip visa requirement for frequent visitors.
