project44's shipper business grew new ARR 34% YoY and new logo ARR 67% in H1 FY27. The company also launched LSP44, an AI-native logistics service provider platform, and shipped a record 72 product enhancements.
project44 closed the first half of its fiscal year with shipper new annual recurring revenue up 34% year over year and new logo ARR up 67%. The supply chain intelligence company also signed its first customer worth $5 million in ARR, along with two seven-figure deals.
Net revenue retention for the shipper business improved 654 basis points from the prior year in the fiscal second quarter. Average contract value for net new customers hit an all-time high, rising 145% year over year. The figures suggest enterprise logistics buyers are committing to broader platform deals rather than single-use-case pilots, CEO Jett McCandless said.
“These results, accelerating new ARR growth, larger deals, and our first $5 million customer, are proof that customers are betting bigger on project44,” McCandless said.
The same day it released the numbers, project44 announced it would split into two focused companies. The original shipper platform keeps the project44 name. A new entity called LSP44 will serve logistics service providers – 3PLs, freight forwarders and brokers – with an AI-native agent and API platform. LSP44 launched with day-one profitability and already counts nine of the ten largest logistics service providers as customers, the company said.
Product velocity and AI agents
project44 shipped 72 customer-facing product enhancements in the quarter, built with AI-generated code. The company said it cut the time to build and deploy a new AI agent from eight days to eight hours. Its Agentic Workflow Manager, a no-code tool for designing AI agent workflows, has already handled 1.5 million outreaches this year and is on pace for 2.2 million autonomous interactions with supply chain partners. The company claims the tool reduces freight spend by 4% and manual coordination by 70%.
Another new product, Mo, is a conversational AI supply chain analyst. In internal tests, Mo answered operational questions 86% faster than a leading general-purpose model after manually exporting data, and returned accurate answers every time while the competitor was wrong or overstated on most claims, the company said. Customers using Mo have already reported a $6 million reduction in detention and demurrage exposure and $200,000 in freed working capital from a single query, according to the release.
project44 also launched Theft Prevention, an AI-powered suite that monitors truckload shipments for cargo theft. The company estimates cargo theft costs the U.S. $35 billion annually. The suite uses telematics data from ELD providers, trailer sensors and door sensors to trigger carrier outreach within minutes of suspicious activity. Enhancements shipped this quarter include Risky Zone Identification and Route Deviation detection.
SAP endorsement and China authorization
project44’s Real-Time Multi-Modal Visibility Data solution became an SAP endorsed app, available on the SAP Store. The integration feeds real-time carrier signals – live positions, predictive ETAs, port conditions – into SAP Business Network for Logistics across FTL, LTL, ocean, air, rail, drayage and parcel. SAP executive Darryl Gray called the partnership part of SAP’s vision for the “Autonomous Enterprise.”
The company also extended its China cross-border logistics data authorization through 2029. project44 is the only supply chain AI company approved to deliver real-time, compliant logistics data across China’s border, it said. China exports $3.77 trillion in goods annually, making real-time data from the region critical for stitching multi-mode shipments together.
Customer quotes
Josh Moss, global supply chain process lead at Eastman Chemical, said project44’s configurability allowed his team to expand into APAC without adding operational complexity. Doug Cantriel, head of North America transportation at Ford Motor, said Mo would put accurate answers “directly in the hands of the people who need them, without the back-and-forth of pulling reports.”
Joel Clum, president of Worldwide Express, said LSP44 is “infrastructure you build on,” not just software.
project44 connects over 1.5 billion shipments annually for more than 1,000 brands in manufacturing, automotive, retail, life sciences, food and beverage, CPG, and oil, chemical and gas. The company’s AI agent portfolio now spans more than 54 agents. Its internal “Agent Factory” has cut agent delivery time from eight days to eight hours, with a goal of building and deploying a testable agent for customer co-development within a single day.
