PEO Firm J. Gregory Hits Inc. 5000 at No. 642 on 536% Growth

A Florida-based professional employer organization has cracked the Inc. 5000 list at No. 642 after posting 536% revenue growth over three years.

J. Gregory PEO, which handles payroll, benefits, HR, and workers' comp for small and mid-sized companies, said Tuesday it had been ranked on the 2026 edition of the annual list. The company's revenue grew from $100,000 in 2022 to $2 million in 2025, the minimum thresholds for qualification.

"Ranking No. 642 on a list of 5,000 influential companies across the country reflects the work our team has put into growth," CEO Greg Howard said in a statement.

The Inc. 5000 ranks U.S.-based private, for-profit companies by percentage revenue growth over the prior three years. The median growth rate across this year's list was 130%. Honorees have collectively added more than 627,000 jobs over the period, the publication said.

Past honorees include Microsoft, Meta, Chobani, Oracle, and Patagonia.

J. Gregory PEO focuses on firms that want to outsource administrative complexity. Its services include payroll tax administration, employee benefits, risk management, compliance guidance, and employee support. The company is based in Lake Suzy, Florida, and serves clients nationally.

Inc. editor-in-chief Mike Hofman called the honorees' growth a reflection of "creativity, resilience, and the customer focus required to build companies that make a lasting impact."

The Inc. 5000 Conference & Gala runs Oct. 14-16 in Dallas.

The list is ranked by percentage revenue growth from 2022 to 2025. Applicants had to be founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2022, and remain privately held and independent through Dec. 31, 2025. The minimum revenue for 2022 was $100,000; the minimum for 2025 was $2 million.
