The former Wiz executive replaces Denise Dresser, who helped double OpenAI's weekly active users before leaving to pursue other opportunities.
OpenAI tapped former Wiz executive Dali Rajic as its new chief revenue officer, the company said in a Thursday blog post. Rajic will lead the global revenue organization and build the operating system needed to scale for the next generation of AI models, the post said.
Rajic replaces Denise Dresser, who will work with the business team during a transition period before leaving to pursue other opportunities, according to the post. Dresser, a former Slack CEO, joined OpenAI as CRO in December. She helped double the company's weekly active users and the number of businesses reached by its products during her tenure.
"During a formative period for both OpenAI and the enterprise AI market, she built the team, strengthened relationships with major customers and established the commercial foundation that has brought our business to this point," the post said.
In a LinkedIn post, Dresser told the OpenAI team she "made the difficult decision to leave OpenAI in the coming weeks to pursue other opportunities."
Rajic was most recently president and COO of Wiz, which Google acquired in March. Before that, he served as president and COO of Zscaler and as chief customer and revenue officer at AppDynamics. At Wiz, he helped build one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies, the post said.
OpenAI President and Co-Founder Greg Brockman said Rajic will "turn what we've learned into repeatable execution as we build out the full system to make AI broadly useful for people and businesses."
Rajic said he is "excited to join the team, build on the momentum already in place and lead the revenue organization as we help customers realize the full value of AI."
