Tiago Forte's AI Second Brain returns Sep. 17 with alumni mentors, active attention tools, and computer use integration. Free master prompt session Aug. 26.
Tiago Forte is bringing back his AI Second Brain program for a second cohort, starting Sep. 17. The three-week immersive sprint aims to help participants build their own AI-assisted knowledge system piece by piece.
The first cohort in March drew more than 350 people from over 70 countries, including employees from Amazon, Google, Apple, Samsung, Morgan Stanley, and the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. Graduates gave the program a Net Promoter Score of 70, Forte said in a blog post.
"I figured it was probably just a collection of materials I could piece together from online sources on my own. I was wrong," one participant named Nick said. Another, Elaine, said the program advanced her knowledge "at least 10-fold."
Cohort 2 introduces eight Alumni Mentors drawn from the first cohort's top graduates. Each mentor will lead an Implementation Lab, an interactive session designed to help new students apply the course material to their own tools and use cases, including ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot. Forte said the mentors will offer "examples, guidance, and ways of adapting the implementation steps based on their background and experience."
New curriculum modules cover what Forte calls "Active Attention Practice" – a set of tools for noticing how information affects perception and staying focused on personal goals. The program also includes guidance on using local file systems as an AI memory layer, syncing them with cloud storage, and setting up "routines" – regularly scheduled AI actions that can run locally or remotely.
Forte said he has changed his mind on connectors and now recommends them, provided users approach them systematically. He will lead a process for mapping existing connectors, identifying canonical data, and prioritizing which to hook up first. The program also covers "computer use" capabilities – AI that can interact with on-screen tools – across different large language models, with security and privacy considerations.
Another returning concept is the "12 Favorite Problems" – recurring open questions that guide long-term learning and growth, now augmented by AI. Forte will teach a process for identifying and setting up a persistent system for LLMs to revisit those questions with minimal human involvement.
On Aug. 26 at 12 p.m. ET, Forte is teaching a free 90-minute session on the Master Prompt Method, which he describes as the opening session of the program. The session will be recorded and shared with registrants. Enrollment details for Cohort 2 will be announced during that session.
The program runs from Sep. 17 to Oct. 8. Forte said the philosophy is to adopt new building blocks only as they become mature and clearly useful, rather than chasing every new feature at the bleeding edge.
