AC Milan eyes Glasner, expands token deals

AC Milan is running a coaching search alongside a push into crypto sponsorships. Both moves carry weight for holders of the AC Milan fan token.

Oliver Glasner is the leading candidate. The former Crystal Palace and Eintracht Frankfurt manager met with Milan officials for a six-hour session in early June 2026. He has expressed strong interest in the role.

Matthias Jaissle, coach of Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, is a secondary option. Extracting him from his contract would require a significant fee. Rúben Amorim was linked earlier but has dropped down the list.

The vacancy opened after Massimiliano Allegri left. Ralf Rangnick is reported to be connected to a sporting director role at the club.

Milan operates the ACM token on Chiliz's Socios platform. The club's February 2025 deal with Bitpanda put the exchange on the back of the shirt and launched the Vision token. Chiliz says it works with over 100 sports organizations. Bitpanda's shirt sponsorship puts a crypto brand in front of millions of matchday viewers.

The coaching hire and commercial deals will shape the token's next steps. Milan's new manager is expected to be in place before the pre-season tour. The club will announce the decision once negotiations conclude.
