Zambia landlord sued for 'big penis' rent insult

A man from Obama has taken his landlord to court over an insult tied to unpaid rent. Tenson Nyirenda, 41, is seeking compensation from Kateule Phiri, 44, after Phiri allegedly called him a person with a “big penis” who cannot pay rent, according to a statement filed at the Chelstone Local Court.

Nyirenda said the rent went unpaid after he used the money for his father's funeral expenses. Phiri did not deny making the remark, telling the court he was provoked when Nyirenda accused him of stealing his jacket.

Zambia's local courts handle disputes over debts, insults, and property. The case is ongoing.
