Zacatecas Silver completed 19 holes for 2,027 metres at El Cristo, intersecting multiphase silver-base metal veins with abundant sphalerite and galena. Assays are pending from ALS.
Alpha Score of 65 reflects moderate overall profile with strong momentum, strong value, weak quality, moderate sentiment.
Zacatecas Silver Corp. (TSXV: ZAC | OTCQB: ZCTSF | FRA: 7TV) finished a 2,027-metre diamond drilling program at its El Cristo target in Mexico's Zacatecas Mining District. Major Drilling completed 19 angled holes over 32 days, with core recovery across mineralized zones exceeding 98%.
The program targeted shallow extensions of the El Cristo intermediate sulphidation epithermal vein system, building on holes drilled in 2022 that returned intervals including 1.0 metre of 1,120 g/t silver and 0.5 metre of 2,050 g/t silver. Most of the new holes hit near-surface structures at depths under 100 metres, with downhole widths of 3 to 4 metres.
Mineralization in the core shows classic multiphase quartz-carbonate base metal veins with abundant clotted sphalerite, galena, and pyrite. Previous drilling at El Cristo established a strong correlation between silver and gold grades and the presence of sphalerite and galena – the same mineral assemblage logged in this campaign.
All core has been photographed, cut, and sampled. ALS is processing the samples, and assay results will be released as they are compiled.
CEO Eric Vanderleeuw said the 19-hole, 32-day program with recovery above 98% reflects strong execution by the team and drill contractor. "While assays remain pending, the core tells an encouraging story: we intersected multiphase veining with abundant sphalerite and galena across multiple holes, the same mineralization style that has consistently correlated with strong silver and gold grades in our prior drilling here."
With El Cristo drilling complete, Vanderleeuw noted surface work and drill permitting are advancing at the Oso Negro target, with results expected across the portfolio through the year.
The Zacatecas Silver Project sits in a district that has produced over 1.2 billion ounces of silver historically. The company's land package covers 6,500 hectares, including the past-producing El Cristo mine.
