White Cliff Minerals expanded the Danvers 1 copper system at its Rae project in Canada by 480% after intersecting high-grade copper in step-out drilling more than 2.5 kilometres northeast of the original core. The company now has copper mineralisation traced over 4.75 kilometres of the Teshierpi structural corridor, compared with roughly 820 metres of strike tested during the 2025 program.
The best assay returned 17 metres at 1.41% copper and 12 grams per tonne silver from 194 metres. That hole was collared 225 metres northeast of a 2025 hole that gave 64 metres at 0.89% copper including 9.14 metres at 2.65%. Another step-out hole, collared a further 1.1 kilometres northeast, hit 14.5 metres at 1.49% copper from 166.5 metres, including 3 metres at 3.96% copper and 18 grams per tonne silver.
Managing director Troy Whittaker said the results had transformed the scale of the Danvers 1 system. "Strong grades returned in step-outs progressively farther north-east, demonstrating that high-grade copper is not confined to the original Danvers 1 core," he said. "Drilling is beginning to establish a repeatable geological relationship between structural architecture, magnetic response, breccia development and grade."
White Cliff has fast-tracked infill drilling at Danvers. Whittaker said the company would test the gaps between existing holes and target broader breccia development. "Oriented core is strengthening that model, giving us a more predictive framework for targeting the parts of the system with the greatest potential to develop width and higher grades," he said. The company is also running depth drilling to convert the 4.75-kilometre trend into a more continuous geological model.
The drilling is part of a dual strategy: expand the known surface area of the deposit while guiding exploration toward high-grade, high-tonnage sedimentary targets. Recent digitisation of historical data, combined with the 2025 drilling campaign, identified further copper mineralisation outside and below the previous estimate.
The Danvers 1 mineralisation sits at a 950-metre strike length. Within that, 375 metres represents the previously released non-JORC compliant estimate of 4.16 million tonnes grading 2.96% copper. Whittaker said the depth extension at Danvers 3, combined with the latest step-out results, was building a picture of a large, high-grade copper system with clear future resource potential.
A second batch of assays from the remaining step-out holes is still pending. The company has not given a timeline for the next results.
