Welspun Corp secured an estimated $1.8 billion pipe supply order from its US plant, its largest ever. The contract pushes the global backlog to a record $4.4 billion and provides revenue visibility through FY29.
Welspun Corp landed the largest single order in its history, worth about $1.8 billion (₹17,200 crore), for pipe supply from its US manufacturing plant.
The contract, to be executed across fiscal years 2028 and 2029, pushes the company's global order book to a record $4.4 billion (₹42,100 crore), according to a regulatory filing late Thursday. Welspun said the award was the biggest ever placed with the company and deepens its footprint in North American energy infrastructure, where it has been adding capacity and client relationships.
The order "reflects the confidence of major global energy players in Welspun as a partner for large, complex and mission-critical pipe infrastructure projects," the company said in the filing. It provides multi-year revenue visibility, Welspun added.
Welspun World chairman B K Goenka called North America "a strategically important market" and said the company has "continued to invest ahead of the curve" in its regional manufacturing and technology capabilities. The order size, he said, reinforces the company's strategy and positions it for the next phase of US energy infrastructure development.
Welspun operates plants in India, the US and Saudi Arabia, supplying customers across more than 50 countries. Its product lines include line pipes, ductile iron pipes, stainless steel bars, pipes and tubes, and TMT rebars. The portfolio also covers Sintex-brand water storage tanks and advanced plastic piping solutions.
