Vivakor's physical crude marketing platform now exceeds $1.09 billion in annualized commercial activity, driven by two new recurring programs at Cushing and Midland terminals.
Vivakor's physical crude oil marketing platform has surpassed $1.09 billion in annualized commercial activity, the company said Thursday. The wholly owned subsidiary Vivakor Supply & Trading executed two new recurring purchase and sale transactions at the Cushing and Midland terminals. Those programs are expected to generate about $384 million in annualized commercial activity, based on current market pricing.
"Surpassing $1 billion of announced annualized commercial activity marks an important milestone in the continued growth of Vivakor Supply & Trading," said James Ballengee, Chairman, President and CEO of Vivakor. "The continued expansion of our recurring commercial programs reflects the strength of our commercial relationships and our ability to consistently originate and execute physical crude oil transactions."
The company said it only recognizes a small percentage of the total contract value as gross profit, because it acts as an intermediary in the physical crude supply chain. Gross profit will vary with market conditions, commodity pricing, and delivered volumes.
Vivakor provides sustainable energy transportation and storage services, plus remediation. It operates one of the largest oilfield trucking fleets in the continental U.S. The company sees the marketing platform as a complement to its transportation, terminaling, and storage operations.
"As we build additional scale across our marketing platform," Ballengee said, "we believe we are creating a business that supports long-term shareholder value."
