Twisted Egg Shack accelerates national growth with a Texas area development agreement for over 60 restaurants, plus new franchisees in Florida and Austin.
Twisted Egg Shack, a fast-growing breakfast and lunch chain, signed an exclusive area development agreement with 1836 Brands to open more than 60 restaurants across Texas. The first locations are planned for Houston's League City and Cypress areas.
Joey Eguia, who runs 1836 Brands with Collins Orr, brings three decades of restaurant experience. He previously served as COO of Fajita Pete's and held leadership roles at Wings N More and BreWingz. "We have been looking for something exciting and different in the breakfast and lunch category," Eguia said. "Twisted Egg Shack checks off all of the boxes, with virtually no competition."
Co-founder Chris Milton called the partnership an "incredible advantage" for the brand's Texas expansion. Co-founder Clay Carson said 1836 Brands brings "decades of hands-on restaurant operations experience and deep knowledge of restaurant marketing and real estate."
The Texas deal follows other franchise agreements. In Central Florida, Thomas Bell signed to open a location in Lakeland with a target date of Dec. 1. Danny Juarez, after selling his insurance business, will develop two Twisted Egg Shack restaurants in the Austin area. The brand already has franchisees committed for Manvel and Pearland, Texas, and Denver.
Twisted Egg Shack serves made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, tacos, lunch items, and handcrafted coffee drinks through a drive-thru model. The company said it is focused on attracting experienced multi-unit operators rather than rapid expansion. "The quality of people joining The Twisted Egg Shack is what gives us tremendous confidence in where this brand is headed," Milton said.
The brand now has development underway in Texas, Florida, Colorado, and the Austin metro market.
