Tutor Perini unit wins $33.4M Minnesota highway contract

Tutor Perini (TPC) said Monday its Lunda Construction subsidiary won a $33.45 million contract from the Minnesota Department of Transportation for work on Highway 77 in the Twin Cities area.

The project covers bridge and roadway improvements along a 2.5-mile stretch of the highway. Work is expected to start in the second quarter of 2026 and finish by late 2027.

The award adds to Tutor Perini's backlog for the 2026 construction season. The company has been rebuilding its pipeline after a period of slower public-sector awards in the Upper Midwest.

Tutor Perini shares were little changed in after-hours trading following the announcement. The stock is down about 12% year to date.
