Truck carrying wedding guests struck on Indonesia highway, killing 13 people

Thirteen people were killed and five others injured when a pickup truck carrying wedding guests was crushed between two trucks on a busy highway in Indonesia's Indramayu regency Sunday afternoon, police said Monday.

The group was returning home from a wedding in neighbouring Parean village when the pickup slowed near a median opening to make a U-turn on the northern coastal highway, local traffic police chief Undang Syarif Hidayat said. A wing-box truck traveling in the same direction struck the pickup from behind.
