Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are married. The couple tied the knot Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with comedian Adam Sandler officiating. Family and close friends attended the ceremony.
The wedding capped a two-year romance that began in July 2023 when Kelce attended Swift's Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs. On his podcast, Kelce said he was "b***hurt" he could not meet Swift, adding he had brought a bracelet with his phone number on it. "She doesn't meet anybody, or at least she didn't want to meet me, so I took it personal," he said.
Swift wore a custom haute couture gown by Jonathan Anderson for Christian Dior. Kelce also wore a Dior haute couture look. The couple had no bridesmaids or groomsmen. Swift's brother Austin served as "man of honor." Kelce's brother Jason was best man.
Before the wedding, the couple donated $26 million to various charities, according to a statement from their representatives.
The couple went public in September 2023 when Swift appeared at a Chiefs-Bears game, sitting next to Kelce's mother, Donna. They left the stadium in Kelce's purple Chevelle. Swift became a regular at Chiefs games, rushing back from her Los Angeles premiere of "Taylor Swift: Eras Tour" to attend.
In November 2023, Swift changed the lyrics of her song "Karma" during a concert in Argentina to include Kelce: "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me." Scott Swift, her father, was seen applauding next to Kelce.
Swift told Time magazine the relationship began after Kelce "very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell." She said they were already together before her first appearance at the Chiefs game.
After the Chiefs beat the Ravens in the AFC championship game, the couple kissed on the field. Kelce was heard saying "I love you" and "So much it's not funny."
Kelce made his on-stage debut during Swift's Eras Tour, appearing in a choreographed segment before "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart." He called Swift "my girl" and "my lady" on the "Bussin' with the Boys" podcast. Swift referred to him as "my boyfriend Travis" while accepting an award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The couple made their first red carpet appearance together at the annual Tight End University event. In August 2025, Swift announced her album "The Life of a Showgirl," which includes Kelce. She also made her debut on the "New Heights" podcast, where they discussed their relationship.
They announced their engagement in late August with a five-photo carousel on Instagram. "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," the caption read.
The wedding was announced to the public with a marquee outside Madison Square Garden that read "JUST&T MARRIED."
