TikTok confirmed to Forbes.hu that it began rolling out TikTok Shop in Hungary and the Czech Republic on June 15. The move comes after the short-video platform quietly introduced its marketplace service in those countries, following official launches in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland earlier in the week.
From TikTok's response, cross-border ordering and shipping are available on the Hungarian market. "Merchants from the European Union and other regions can reach local audiences through regional logistics solutions and international shipping," the company said, "while local users can access products from within and beyond the EU."
That means Hungarian sellers can serve customers not just domestically but across other EU markets, and non-EU merchants can also sell to Hungarian buyers. TikTok also confirmed the launch of its affiliate program in Hungary, allowing eligible local content creators to earn commissions by promoting products from active merchants on the platform.
The affiliate program covers sellers on existing Shop markets including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain. TikTok said the Shop experience will "evolve over time to align with local market specifics and community needs" as it enters new markets.
