The Script adds a third Manila show on March 20 after selling out two nights. Tickets go on sale June 13. Frontman Danny O'Donoghue visited the city to promote the tour.
The Script will play a third night in Manila. The Irish band added a March 20 show at the SM Mall of Asia Arena after the first two dates sold out, promoter Wilbros Live said. Tickets go on sale June 13 at 10 a.m. via SMTickets.com and SM outlets.
Frontman Danny O'Donoghue visited Manila recently to promote the tour. He filmed a performance of "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" on the streets, recreating the song's spirit in the city.
The "Man In The Arena Tour" draws from the band's catalog of hits – "Hall of Fame," "Breakeven," "Superheroes" – and songs from the upcoming album "The User's Guide To Being Human," due August 14, 2026. That record follows 2024's "Satellites," which O'Donoghue wrote after the death of bandmate Mark Sheehan in 2023. The subsequent global tour paid tribute to Sheehan at every stop.
The title track takes its lyrics from a Theodore Roosevelt speech. "He talks about how honors don't belong to the critics," O'Donoghue said. "They belong to the one who gets in there and whose face is marred with dust and blood. I remember reading it and being like: that needs to be in a tune."
The third show is scheduled for March 20, 2027.
