Taco Bueno Marks $740K Donation Milestone With Free Taco Day

Taco Bueno is giving away a free Hot Honey Fried Chicken Taco on Aug. 25, the second anniversary of its Tacos with a Purpose program. Customers who round up their purchase to the nearest dollar at participating locations will get the taco, the company said.
The chain has raised more than $740,000 for domestic violence survivors in Texas and Oklahoma since the initiative launched in 2024. All 125 participating Taco Bueno restaurants direct 100% of round-up donations to nonprofits providing shelter, advocacy and support services.
“We're incredibly proud of what Tacos with a Purpose has become over the past two years,” Dani Perales, director of marketing and innovation at Taco Bueno, said in a statement. “Every time someone rounds up, they're helping change lives.”
