Survey Junkie pays members for completing online surveys in their free time. Earn points toward cash via PayPal or bank transfer starting at a $5 threshold.
Survey Junkie lets people earn cash and gift cards by completing online surveys in their spare time. Members earn points for each survey they finish, and those points accumulate toward rewards. Once a user reaches 500 points, they can redeem them for $5 in PayPal funds, a direct bank transfer, or a gift card to a participating retailer.
The platform is free to join. After creating an account, users fill out a profile that matches them with surveys they qualify for. Survey lengths vary, as do the points awarded. Some surveys pay 50 points and take five minutes; others pay 500 points and run 20 minutes or longer. The payout threshold starts at $5, which is lower than many competing platforms that require $10 or $25 before a user can cash out.
Survey Junkie also awards points through a referral program. Each time a referred friend completes their first survey, the referring member earns bonus points. The company says most members earn between $10 and $40 per month, depending on how many surveys they take and how many screeners they complete that lead to qualifying surveys.
Gift card options include Amazon, Target, Starbucks, and Visa prepaid cards. PayPal transfers and bank deposits are also available. Redemption requests typically process within a few days, the company states.
The platform is owned by a market research firm that runs similar panels in Australia, Canada, and the UK. Survey Junkie itself operates in the United States. Users must be 18 or older to join.
