Growatt, the Shenzhen-based inverter maker, landed a slot on S&P Global Energy's Tier 1 PV Inverter Supplier list for 2026, one of just 12 companies globally to make the cut. The annual assessment weighs market presence, operational scale, geographic reach, financial performance, and, for the first time this year, credit risk via S&P's RiskGauge metric.
The designation matters for procurement. Utility-scale developers and EPC contractors in Europe and North America often restrict bidding to Tier 1 suppliers, effectively setting a floor on addressable market share. Missing the list shrinks the pipeline.
Growatt's inclusion is not new – the company has appeared in prior years – but the 2026 methodology shift adds a financial-health screen that has reshuffled the ranks. S&P Global did not disclose which suppliers fell off the 12-company list versus the prior edition.
The company is using the recognition to spotlight its 2026 product cycle. On the residential side, the MIN 2500-6000TL-XH2 battery-ready inverter runs at up to 98.4% efficiency with a DC/AC ratio of 2.0, allowing future battery expansion without swapping hardware. For three-phase homes, the MOD 3-15KTL3-HU integrates backup and whole-home support. Growatt also launched the SPM 2.5-10KTL-HU2 hybrid series in Pakistan, a market where grid reliability is a recurring sales pitch.
At The smarter E Europe in Munich, the company showed the MINA and MODA all-in-one storage systems for single- and three-phase residential use, wrapping solar conversion, battery storage, backup, and load management into a single chassis. The commercial RISE 261H-XH packs a 261 kWh battery platform with a hybrid inverter, energy management system, and distribution gear in a pre-assembled cabinet.
