Southwest Points Save 40% on Flights Booked by July 10

Southwest Airlines is offering up to 40% off base fares when you redeem Rapid Rewards points for award flights booked by July 10, 2026. The promotion applies to both one-way and round-trip Basic, Choice, Choice Preferred, and Choice Extra fares. No registration or promo code is required, though blackout dates and restrictions apply.

Eligible travel dates run from August 4 through December 16, 2026. The points rebate does not count toward A-List or A-List Preferred status, and the offer is limited to new bookings only.

Southwest's Rapid Rewards program is revenue-based, meaning award rates track closely with cash fares. This promotion is a rare chance to get outsized value from your points. If you have existing award bookings, you can cancel and rebook them to capture the discount, provided the new fare is cheaper.

For travelers short on points, transfers from Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards are available at a 1:1 ratio, while Marriott Bonvoy transfers come in at 3:1.
