Sōna Dermatology Adds AI Tool for Cosmetic Procedure Previews

Sōna Dermatology, a Charlotte-based medical aesthetics practice, has launched an artificial-intelligence tool that lets patients preview cosmetic treatment results before a consultation.

The tool, called Ageless AI, generates photorealistic images from a patient's uploaded photo. It can simulate the effects of laser skin resurfacing and other procedures, and show how a patient might look 15 to 20 years in the future with or without treatment, the company said in a press release.

Sōna Dermatology described the feature as a planning tool, not a definitive prediction, since outcomes depend on individual anatomy and a provider's assessment.

The practice, which has operated for more than 40 years, offers laser treatments, injectables and personalized skincare. It is led by board-certified dermatologists.
