Quality medals went to Tuborg Strong and Carlsberg Elephant Strong; the other six wins at the World Beer Awards 2026 covered packaging design across four brands.
Carlsberg India collected eight awards at the World Beer Awards 2026, six of them for packaging design, the company said.
Two medals came for beer quality. Tuborg Strong took silver and Carlsberg Elephant Strong bronze, both in the Lager Strong category. The World Beer Awards evaluates beers and packaging across markets and product categories.
Four brands accounted for the design wins. Tuborg Classic with Scotch Malts took a gold for Can Design and a silver for Can Label Design. Tuborg Ice Draft earned a gold for Can Label Design and a silver for Can Design. Carlsberg Elephant Original received a bronze for Can Label Design, and 1664 Blanc a bronze in Bottle Design.
Nilesh Patel, Managing Director of Carlsberg India, said the awards reflected the company's "commitment to quality, innovation and excellence" and credited the brewer's internal teams for the recognition.
Competition in India's premium beer segment has been intensifying: domestic and international brewers are vying for shelf space and consumer mindshare. Carlsberg India has expanded its footprint through brewing investment and brand development across price points.
Carlsberg India runs seven owned breweries and eight co-manufacturers across the country, marketing brands from mainstream to super-premium price tiers, including Tuborg and 1664 Blanc. The company is a subsidiary of the Carlsberg Group, which has operated for 178 years.
