The U.S. Senate will not vote on the Clarity Act before lawmakers leave for summer break, pushing the market-structure bill into the next legislative window, CoinDesk first reported.
The measure aims to define how digital assets are regulated – which tokens fall under which agency, what rules exchanges and issuers must follow. The House version is tracked as H.R. 3633; the Senate has not released its own markup.
The postponement defers the bill, not kills it. Congress is expected to return to the question after the recess, so the delay resets the calendar rather than closing the debate.
