Ihsan Amanullah Makhdoum, a CPA with 27 years of experience, joins Saudi Lime's Audit Committee for a four-year term starting July 2026, aiming to strengthen independent oversight.
Saudi Lime Industries appointed Ihsan Amanullah Makhdoum to its Audit Committee for the upcoming board session, the company said in a bourse filing. The board finalized the decision on June 29, 2026.
Makhdoum's term runs from July 21, 2026 to July 20, 2030, aligning with the start of the new board cycle. He is an external member, not from the board, a structure the company said strengthens independent oversight of financial reporting and internal controls.
He brings more than 27 years of financial and accounting experience. Makhdoum is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Saudi Arabia and holds a U.S. CPA designation. He previously served as a partner at one of the Big Four international accounting firms, where he worked on global auditing standards and complex corporate structures.
Makhdoum graduated with honors from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He also holds a certified board member designation from the Financial Academy and the GCC Board Directors Institute.
He currently serves on other boards and audit committees across multiple organizations. The appointment follows standard regulatory procedures for Saudi-listed companies. The company noted no objections from official authorities regarding the process.
The Audit Committee monitors financial statements and evaluates internal and external audit processes. It also ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the Kingdom. The appointment is part of Saudi Lime's commitment to transparency, the filing said.
