Saudi Hotel Occupancy Slips to 60.8% in Q1 2026; ADR Falls 11%
Saudi Arabia's hotel occupancy rate fell to 60.8% in Q1 2026 from 63% a year ago, while the average daily room rate dropped 11.4% to SAR 423, according to GASTAT data.

Hotel room occupancy in Saudi Arabia slipped to 60.8% in the first quarter of 2026, down from 63% a year earlier, according to the General Authority for Statistics.
Serviced apartments and other hospitality facilities posted a slight gain, with occupancy edging up to 51.6% from 50.7%.
Makkah and Madinah led hotel occupancy rates. Madinah recorded 82.5%, Makkah 59.5% and Riyadh 50.6%. On the serviced apartment side, Najran posted the highest rate at 60.2%, followed by Riyadh at 59.3% and Madinah at 55.8%. Al Baha had the lowest rates in both categories: 26.2% for hotels and 27.6% for serviced apartments.
