SAL Saudi Logistics Services Company incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the firm said in a bourse filing Thursday. SAL International Ground Handling B.V. will serve as an international holding entity, supporting the Saudi group's push to expand cargo ground handling outside the kingdom.
The company said there is no material immediate financial effect from the launch but expects it to contribute positively to future consolidated results. The Dutch unit, according to the disclosure, is part of the company's strategic plan to expand cargo ground handling activities abroad. The move follows a strategic agreement signed on June 9 with Fly Khiva Group LLC to provide integrated cargo ground handling services.
