Procore Technologies (NYSE: PCOR) announced the rollout of its connected Common Data Environment, a purpose-built CDE on a single platform designed to unify project data from design to handover. The company said the CDE captures evidence in the flow of work and keeps the digital record aligned with site reality. That trusted data foundation, Procore added, enables agentic AI to act across the full construction lifecycle.
A common data environment is a central repository for project information, a concept standardized under ISO 19650. Most CDEs on the market are built by stitching together separate tools for document management, model coordination, and field reporting. Procore's approach is different: the company built its CDE from the ground up on a single platform, meaning data flows between design, construction, and handover without manual transfer or format conversion.
The CDE is built for European market requirements. Procore will start the rollout in the UK and Ireland before expanding across EMEA. The company has set up a localized UK Data Zone and plans to launch a dedicated EU Data Zone in the fall of 2026. The EU Data Zone will address data residency requirements for continental European projects, a key concern for firms operating across multiple jurisdictions.
Procore said fragmented information has been hampering decision-making and leading to costly delays in construction. Connected data, the company argued, defines top-performing organizations. The single-platform approach aims to replace the patchwork of spreadsheets, emails, and disparate software that many firms rely on.
European public projects increasingly require compliance with ISO 19650, a standard that mandates a common data environment. Procore's CDE is built to meet those requirements, giving the company a foothold in a market where data governance is becoming a regulatory expectation. The UK and Ireland are early adopters of ISO 19650, with the UK government mandating BIM Level 2 on public projects since 2016.
Procore said the CDE's trusted data foundation allows agentic AI to act throughout the construction lifecycle. Agentic AI refers to systems that can take actions autonomously within defined parameters. In construction, that could mean flagging discrepancies between design and site reality, or automatically updating schedules when materials are delayed.
The CDE rollout is part of Procore's broader push to expand beyond its core project management software into data and AI. The company has targeted $1.5 billion in revenue, a goal it outlined in its recent margin expansion push.
Procore plans to launch the EU Data Zone in the fall of 2026. The UK and Ireland rollout is underway.
