Prominence Energy (ASX:PRM) rose more than 50% in Friday trade after the company laid out a timeline for helium and hydrogen drilling in South Australia, with technical milestones due over the next several months.
CEO Krista Davies called the plan a "disciplined approach" using low-cost work to build a case before finalising drilling. "The work completed over the past several months has given us a much stronger understanding of the helium and natural hydrogen potential across our South Australian portfolio," she said.
The immediate program includes gravity and magnetic data inversion and interpretation in July. Independent Prospective Resources Reviews are scheduled for the Eyre Project by the end of August and the Northern Hinge Project by the end of September. Prominence plans to update drilling engineering and cost evaluations in October, according to the company.
