Power One Resources Corp. (TSXV: PWRO) filed for a drilling permit to return to the Pecors Project in Ontario's Elliot Lake uranium district, with plans to sink a single vertical hole roughly 1,500 meters deep. The permit application is under review by the Ontario Ministry of Mines.
The target is the Zd1 anomaly, a deep-seated conductive feature identified by a 2018 ZTEM survey. Two previous holes drilled in 2015 hit Ni-Cu-PGE mineralization – 0.351 g/t PGE, 1,053 ppm copper and 395 ppm nickel over 12 meters starting at 917.5 meters – but missed the deeper Zd1 and Zd2 zones, according to the company. The new hole is designed to test Zd1 directly.
CEO Wazir Khan said the company has spent the last few years on modeling and is ready to test the anomaly at depth.
