PJ's Coffee is adding three handcrafted sodas and a limited-time Firecracker Lemonade to its summer menu. The New Orleans chain is rolling out the drinks from July 1 through Aug. 3. The Firecracker Lemonade, available June 29 through July 5, mixes blue raspberry lemonade with red glitter and sells for $2.50 in a 16-ounce cup.
The three craft sodas feature bold flavors with sparkling finishes. The company described them as a refreshing alternative for hot days. Reid Nolte, executive vice president of marketing, said the drinks are “colorful, refreshing and full of personality.” He added that they show how PJ’s Coffee is innovating its menu with unexpected flavors.
The new drinks join existing summer items like the Bayou Breeze Refresher, Caramel Pecan Red Bull, and Southern Wedding Cake beverages. All are available at PJ’s locations nationwide and through the mobile app.
PJ’s Coffee was founded in 1978 by Phyllis Jordan. The company now operates more than 185 stores, including four international locations. It roasts its own beans and uses a cold-drip process for its Original Cold Brew.
