Pia Dandiya Wins Democratic Primary in Florida's 22nd District

"Thank you, FL-22, for believing in this campaign," Dandiya said on X. "Together, we will keep building a movement to lower costs, end corruption, and make Washington work for us again."

The Democratic National Committee congratulated Dandiya. "As an educator and longtime leader, Pia has dedicated herself to expanding opportunity," the DNC said in a statement.

Dandiya, a first-generation American born in Palm Beach County, started as a teacher and became a high school principal in Harlem at age 28 – one of the youngest in the country. She founded a high school where every graduate earned college admission despite 86% coming from low-income households.
