The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (Opapru) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) signed a Memorandum of Agreement on July 15, establishing a joint technical working group to create peace-sensitive guidelines for community-based conflict cases.
The working group will include representatives from the DOJ, Opapru, the Bangsamoro Ministry of Public Order and Safety, the interior department, the police, the armed forces, local governments, and traditional justice leaders. Its tasks include building an inventory of pending community conflicts and proposing prosecutorial guidelines that account for verified peace settlements.
