Peterborough City Council will open a pop-up shop on Bridge Street on July 31, next to the Town Hall. Parents can donate unwanted school uniforms and prom dresses, swap them for something else, or take what they need at no cost.
The council said the event is built around reducing waste and supporting families with the cost of the new school year. Katy Cole, Labour cabinet member for children's services, said it can be an expensive time for families thinking about uniforms for September. She encouraged residents to pop along.
