Perseus Mining is chasing organic growth opportunities at its Yaoure gold mine in Cote d'Ivoire, the company said Thursday.
The Perth-based gold producer released exploration drilling results for the site, with data prepared by Daniel Saunders, a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a full-time Perseus employee. Saunders qualifies as a Competent Person under the 2012 JORC Code and as a Qualified Person under Canadian NI 43-101 standards, the company said.
Perseus confirmed that all material assumptions underpinning its August 2025 mineral resource and ore reserve estimates for Yaoure remain unchanged. The December 2023 technical report for the project also continues to apply, the company said.
The Yaoure mine is one of three operating assets in Perseus's West African portfolio, alongside Edikan in Ghana and Sissingué in Cote d'Ivoire. The company is also developing the Nyanzaga project in Tanzania.
Perseus produced roughly 500,000 ounces of gold in its last fiscal year across its operating mines. The company has been steadily building its reserve base through brownfield exploration, with Yaoure representing a key growth hub given its relatively young mine life and proximity to existing infrastructure.
Gold prices have held above $2,300 an ounce for most of 2026, providing strong margins for producers with all-in sustaining costs below $1,500. Perseus's cost structure at Yaoure has historically run below the industry average, giving the company flexibility to pursue expansion without stretching its balance sheet.
The forward-looking statements in the release caution that actual results may differ from projections, citing gold price volatility, operational risks, and permitting timelines among the factors that could alter outcomes.
Perseus shares trade on the ASX under the ticker PRU and on the OTC market under the symbol PMNXF.
