A 25-year-old man from Bihar alleged he suffered pellet wounds during a July 20 protest march by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) against NEET paper leaks. Prashant, who lives in Delhi, told Hindustan Times that he was hit near Jantar Mantar and later treated at Lady Hardinge Hospital. His discharge summary says he had multiple pellet injuries to his right upper limb, chest, and inguinal region.
Prashant said he followed the movement on social media and joined the march. Around 4 p.m., police used tear gas to disperse the crowd, he said. He tried to run toward Palika Bazar, where pellets struck him. A friend took him to the hospital. He was discharged the same day.
