PCUP retrieves 15 donated wheelchairs from PAGCOR warehouse, distributes 8 to Caloocan City beneficiaries, stores 7 for future allocation.
The Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) retrieved and distributed 15 donated wheelchairs from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) Imus Warehouse. Commissioner Reynaldo Galupo initiated the request, and PAGCOR responded by donating the wheelchairs to support mobility for urban poor beneficiaries. PCUP organized the retrieval, handling, and distribution through coordinated logistical arrangements to ensure safe and efficient turnover.
Out of the total donation, eight wheelchairs were immediately distributed to identified beneficiaries in Barangay 14, Caloocan City. Recipients expressed gratitude for the assistance, which will significantly improve their mobility and daily living conditions. The distribution process included proper documentation and verification to ensure the chairs reached those most in need.
The remaining seven wheelchairs were transported to the PCUP Office for safekeeping. They will be allocated to other qualified urban poor beneficiaries in succeeding distribution activities. PCUP emphasized that the initiative highlights the importance of strong collaboration between government agencies and partners in delivering essential assistance to vulnerable sectors. The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that donated resources are efficiently managed and equitably distributed to intended beneficiaries.
Further distribution activities are expected to be conducted as part of PCUP’s continuing efforts to support the urban poor community through accessible and responsive public service programs. The commission plans to coordinate with local government units and community organizations to identify additional recipients and streamline logistics for future handovers.
