Patrick Kane reunites with Chicago Blackhawks in $16 million deal
Kane returns to Chicago on a two-year, $16 million deal after three seasons with Detroit. The 37-year-old winger and three-time Stanley Cup champion will join Connor Bedard's young Blackhawks squad.

Patrick Kane is going back to Chicago. The veteran winger signed a two-year, $16 million contract with the Blackhawks on Thursday, the team announced.
Kane, 37, spent the previous three seasons with the Detroit Red Wings. He put up 57 points on 41 assists and 16 goals across 67 games last season. The nine-time All-Star ranks second among active NHL players in career assists behind Sidney Crosby. His 1,400 career points trail only Crosby, Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin.
"Day in and day out for 16 seasons, Patrick captivated the city of Chicago with his dazzling skill, creating some of the most memorable moments in Blackhawks history as he helped bring our storied franchise back to the pinnacle of our sport," Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson said in a release. "He's shown on countless occasions that he knows what it takes to win at the highest levels, and we couldn't be prouder for Patrick to once again call the United Center home and continue to shine in Chicago's brightest lights."
