Pagasa tracks cloud clusters outside PAR for LPA potential

The state weather bureau said it is monitoring cloud clusters outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility that could develop into a low-pressure area. Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said details will be provided in the coming days. The southwest monsoon, or habagat, is weakening but still affects Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan with cloudy skies and scattered rain. It is expected to re-intensify early this week, bringing cloudy conditions and isolated rain showers to the Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, and the Babuyan Islands. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will see similar conditions due to localized thunderstorms.
