'Odyssey' tops North American box office with $125M

Christopher Nolan's epic "The Odyssey" opened at No. 1 in North America this weekend, earning $125 million in receipts, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. The film – Nolan's first since "Oppenheimer" – more than doubled the haul of the second-place title.

Disney's "Moana" came in at No. 2 with $19 million. "Minions & Monsters" and "Toy Story 5" tied for No. 3 at $14.8 million each. "Evil Dead Burn" rounded out the top five with $5 million.

The top 10 also included "The Invite" ($3.9 million), "Young Washington" ($3.7 million), "Obsession" ($2.5 million), "Supergirl" ($1.53 million), and "Disclosure Day" ($1.5 million).
