NowVertical named co-founder Andre Garber interim CEO after Sandeep Mendiratta's departure. The board is searching for a permanent leader with global services and M&A experience.
Alpha Score of 60 reflects moderate overall profile with weak momentum, strong value, moderate quality, moderate sentiment.
NowVertical Group Inc. (TSX-V: NOW) named co-founder and Chief Development Officer Andre Garber as interim CEO, replacing Sandeep Mendiratta effective immediately. The board, led by Chair Elaine Kunda, has started a search for a permanent chief executive.
Garber has served as a stabilizing presence during prior leadership shifts at the Toronto-based data and AI services provider. He will continue as interim while the board looks for a leader with experience running enterprise data and AI transformation projects, scaling a multi-country services business profitably, and managing M&A integration alongside organic growth, the company said in a statement.
The search criteria point to the balancing act NowVertical faces. The company operates across Latin America and Asia-Pacific, with EVP Santiago Trógolo covering LATAM and Shailesh Mallya running Solutions & Services. Pankaj Ghag oversees Program Delivery and Operations. Garber will lean on that senior team through the transition.
"We are grateful to Andre for his continued stewardship while we transition to new leadership," Kunda said.
Garber himself struck a continuity tone. "Our customers, employees and shareholders can rest assured that our team remains laser focused on executing on the exciting opportunity set in front of us," he said.
The change follows a period of rapid expansion. NowVertical has grown through a series of acquisitions in the data analytics space, building a portfolio that serves enterprise clients in regulated industries. The company trades on the TSX Venture Exchange with a market cap near C$40 million.
Mendiratta's departure was not accompanied by an explanation of circumstances. The company said only that he had "concluded his tenure as CEO."
Interim CEO arrangements at small-cap tech firms often stretch longer than initially planned. The board did not set a target date for naming a permanent replacement.
