Northlight Wine Collective bought two British Columbia wine brands, Meyer Family Vineyards and Mayhem Wines, in its first acquisition. The deal gives the new investment platform a pair of Okanagan Valley producers with national recognition.
Meyer Family Vineyards, founded in 2006 by Jak Meyer and Janice Stevens-Meyer, has built a reputation for small-lot Chardonnay and Pinot Noir made with a Burgundian approach. The 2024 National Wine Awards of Canada ranked it among the top two wineries in the country. The Meyer family launched Mayhem Wines in 2018 with Terry Meyer Stone and Andrew Stone, expanding the portfolio to include a wider range of varieties from vineyard sites across the region.
Jose R. Salgado, founder and CEO of Northlight, said the wineries have earned customer trust through exceptional wines and a clear sense of identity. He said the company plans to preserve the legacy while investing in the next chapter of growth.
