A California judge approved the final distribution of Nipsey Hussle's estate on July 5, ending more than seven years of probate proceedings, AfroTech reported.
The estate, valued at roughly $11 million, will be split between his daughter, Emani Asghedom, and his son, Kross Asghedom. Court records did not disclose the individual payout amounts.
Hussle's brother, Samiel "Blacc Sam" Asghedom, managed the estate through the entire probate process. Since the rapper's death in 2019, the estate has kept control of his business interests, intellectual property, and the Marathon brand while maintaining projects tied to his legacy.
Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, was 33 when he was shot and killed outside Marathon Clothing in South Los Angeles on March 31, 2019. Eric Holder Jr. was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison in February 2023 after a jury convicted him of first-degree murder.
Beyond music, Hussle built a reputation as a businessman focused on South Los Angeles. His investments included Marathon Clothing, real estate, and technology ventures aimed at neighborhood revitalization and economic ownership in underserved communities.
The court-approved settlement transfers the estate to his children and closes the probate process while preserving the business and community work he started.
