Ningbo wrapped its overseas cultural tour in Berlin with seven short films and a salon attended by roughly 100 German film professionals, curators, and academics.
BERLIN – The 2026 Ningbo City Image Exhibition closed its overseas tour in Berlin last week, screening seven short films at Sinema Transtopia Cinema for an audience of roughly 100 German film professionals, curators, and academics.
The event, themed "Integration of Land and Sea, Charm in Frames," featured four award-winning works from recent editions of the 30°Ningbo Short Film Festival –"Game Rule," "A Silent Farewell," "Bucket Ride," and "Krama's Diary" – plus three city-specific films: "In Ningbo, Enjoy," "One Moment Ningbo," and "Ningbo, Can't Be Hidden."
After the screening, curator Echo Xuedan Tang hosted a cultural salon titled "What Remains Beyond the Screen." German directors, photographers, and interdisciplinary artists discussed cross-cultural creation for young artists and how visual imagery bridges civilizational gaps, according to the event's organizers.
A Ningbo culture showcase on site drew interest from attendees, several of whom expressed interest in future travel, academic exchanges, and artistic collaboration with the city, the organizers said.
The Berlin screening was the sixth and final stop of the city's overseas tour. Ningbo plans to continue using visual media to build international cultural connections, organizers added.
